My PC is a Mac Pro, which has text-to-speech built-in, but I will try this and see what it's like.

My Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 tablet does the same.

The Mac voice and speech synthesis is by far the best. Windows voices are quite good too -- ask Charles.

This piece of SW lags far behind both of the above. You don't have to download the package. There's a sample recording of an English voice that you can listen to online.
