May I commend this video. I've watched the first 45 minutes so far. He is very funny, as well as wise.

Maybe I am too pessimistic, but I wonder what Rosenberg would say in these days. To focus on the four components: observation, feelings, needs and request looks like items in a recipe which could work in an ideal world.

And probably I am a bit nasty, but I cannot resist to quote Tom Lehrer's conclusion:

"I feel that if a person can't communicate,
the very least he can do
is to shut up."

But many characters in a series of novels indicate that this is not so simple, see e.g. the "Unspeakable" who does everything to make "Hogwarts School worst!".
