Title: Google Summer of Code

Charles, you might want to consider being a mentor for the google summer of code. I think Oxygen would be a welcome addition.

I don't think there would be any students wanting to help out on a project like this (maybe if the compiler would have been written in C/C++, Java, Python, Ruby or any other "acceptable" language).

Besides, Oxygen's code base is written in a way that only Charles can encipher it: It was hard to write, so it should be hard to read  ;D

Google is creating lots of new languages. I think they feel as we all do, that something better should exist. I think Oxygen would be of interest to them. Open Source and a different approach and where the language could and should get exposure.

I have seen tremendous improvements to Blender the last couple of years from the Google Summer of Code. I think Charles would be a valuable Mentor and also he would enjoy working a brilliant young person. I think about when I was college age how I could go for a few days with no sleep working on stuff I was excited about. The energy and productivity of such youth and exposure from the Google project selection would bring valuable exposure to Oxygen.
