It's a shame this thread (http://www.freebasic.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=19130&start=30#p177341) went silent. There is a lot of talent on the FreeBASIC forum looking for a good reason to contribute. If I were you Charles, I would try to nudge these guys over to the O2 way of thinking.

Thanks John, I've posted a message. There is some interest in the source code at least.

If that doesn't work you could try changing the name to FB2. ;D

What is so strange to you John,
FB-ers are glued to FB,right?

I think that John, and correct me if I am wrong, but it would benefit BASIC to take all of these talented language makers and get them together instead of being fragmented and taking years to put together a new BASIon their own. To collaborate and work as a team, first it is fun to have talented people to work with and with similar passion.

There is a degree of Darwinian competition in this field, fortunately less so now that compilers are mostly cashless and many are also open source. New ideas can flow more freely.
