  What is the := operator?

:= is an assignment operator which can be used inside a conditional expression, disinct from '=' as an equality operator.

Typical use:
Code: [Select]
    while bRet := GetMessage @wm, 0, 0, 0

       if bRet == -1 then
       '  show an error message
       ...
