int(1) = 0 evaluates as true.
« on: January 16, 2021, 06:16:07 PM »

 I think the title says it all. This small portion of code is evaluating as true:

Code: [Select]
if int(1) = 0 then
    print "i think 1 = 0"
end if

 outputs:
Quote
i think 1 = 0

 This one also evaluates as true:

Code: [Select]
if int(1) = int(0) then
 Adding double equal symbols does not make a difference.  :(

Apparently it cannot be isolated. Wich makes it even harder to tackle.

 However, either doing this:

Code: [Select]
if (int(x)) = 0 then
or this:

Code: [Select]
if (x) = 0 then
Produces the correct result, while doing this:

Code: [Select]
if int(x) = 0 then

Hi Brian,

INT is not a native o2 function, it is normally a 32bit signed integer type, as in C.

But in the next release, within an expression, int(..) will be automatically converted to round(..).

Hello,
this is the same thing that I wrote ...
Then I realized that INT is not a function.

Charles,

If you make INT() a function how would that affect INT() as a cast?

Cast int and convert int are still useable

 Thanks Charles, i wasn't aware int was not also a function.  :)
