Runs fine under Wine.

Since there is no source and I don't have the IUP libraries accessible under Wine, this must be a standard Win32 canvas example. Can you be more clear with your status with IUP? I can no longer tell if you love it or hate it.  ???

I don't like programming with IUP. I have  abandoned  this.

With your advanced skill level, I was afraid IUP was going to be too easy for you and bore you to death.

I will long remain healthy.

Nothing like a little ASM to get the blood flowing, right Peter?

I have worked very hard with this IUP LIBRARY, and this is what happend.

This is the first clue why you are upset. You spent a lot of time building IUP [.inc] files when I was very specific that I wanted to use the .h C includes so we don't repeat the FreeBASIC .bi include disaster. Don't you think it's better to use the includes that come with the distribution rather than creating your own and then have to maintain them?

I inserted a lot of CONST keywords in my crt/ headers. Obviously SWIG doesn't support translation of this declaration type. There's still a lot of work to do in most headers, not only in windows.bi.

Charles has saved us from having to live this same hell with O2.

IUP is easy and very boring. It is no challenge for me. I fall asleep.

For me Basic is about making difficult and obscure tasks easy with minimal code and declaration as possible. IUP is a natural for Basic programmers that just want to get what they want accomplished and not have to keep looking under the covers.

I personally enjoy your examples and humor. (when you let it slip out)

Are you Psychiatrist? Or have you done a course?

No, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last week.  ;D

I have been working with programmers all my business life. There is a special language and skill we all have that make things just work out in the end. I hope you will still remain our programming buddy and contribute when you can.
