just asking , when Oxygen basic will compile itslef instead of useing free basic?

For the greatest portability, I think that the FreeBasic source should be translated into C. But Oxygen is still evolving and it is easier to work on the compiler in its current Basic form.

what  portability that you are meanning , Linex ,intel ok but what else Mac, .... has deffer asm istructions set.

so what the point here?

C compilers are available for just about any operating system and hardware,  including ARM-based devices.

In reality, Script BASIC could be used to develop O2.
