Hello,
I am new to this forum although I follow the development of Oxygenbasic and the discussions since about half a year. In the moment I use Windows Vista 32 bit on a 5 years old notebook as I crashed my ten years old PC completely. I live in the south of Germany. Being a hobby programmer in my spare time, my capabiliies are of course restricted a little bit. Starting with Basic many years ago - there was no other affordable language for micro computers then - I still have a problem to read a program e.g. in the C language. As I have retired from work, I maybe will have a little bit more time now to fill some gaps. Perhaps some day I will even try to understand object oriented programming.
There are some reasons why I got attracted to Oxygenbasic, amongst others e.g. the size of Oxygenbasic is not too large, there are many examples which help in learning about the language and I like the facility to use gxo2.exe almost like an interpreter and at the same time be able to create stand-alone applications. And it seems that the language has a lot of potential.
