Recovery from major server failure
« on: January 21, 2016, 03:43:18 AM »

The server which holds our site, had a major disk failure. Fortunately John was able to organise a new location and recover most things from an off-site backup. (7th Jan).

Sorry about the missing chunk of postings!

Hi Charles,

I can see that my latest snapshot of the BCXgui library got lost too. Is it ok if I reload it again? My hope is that I will get noticed of obvious mistakes or failures.

Once the dust settles and I'm finished cleaning up the mess, I plan to setup a rotation daily backup to Amazon S3 glacier storage. I think we're lucky and only gently slapped. Others weren't so fortunate.  :-\
