just few questions:
i see you use scintilla 3.7.4.0 ..do you maybe test is with AsciEdit?
is that final that i can modify my own files to this version?
also i see that this version is smaller than i use is just 212kB?

Hi Charles,

It seems the About and Introduction pages of the help are in raw HTML. The rest of the pages seem fine. (using xCHM under Ubuntu 64)

Hi Aurel, I have tested it briefly with AsciEdit and WebBrowserATL. And I've been able to drop a few hundred lines of code in o2.

Hi John, the problem does not appear in Windows but the only significant difference I could spot is that all the other paes have 2 leading spaces at the start of the DTD line, but none on the about and intro pages. So I have added the leading spaces and reposted the help file.

I had problems with the file oxygen_help.chm. it opens but nothing appears
have some place correct to put it, or some other program to open?

This is curious. I had no problems with oxygen_help.chm at all. I tried with Windows Vista and Windows 10. But I used a fresh install. Maybe it helps if \inf\oxygen_help.chw  will be deleted?
But unfortunately I cannot call Oxygenhelp from Oxide.

John, I've now replaced the entire head section in intro and about.

Roland & Eduardo, I hope the attached oxide works correctly now. You will need to unblock it using the properties panel.

Hi Charles,

F1 in OxIde works ok now, also sensitive Help. Probably it will be better to provide OxIde.exe as a zip file?
I am not sure about the three items: List Symbol List, Record of, and Show Encoding in the Help submenu. For instance I have opened HelloWin2.o2bas and click on one of these items, then Oxide will crash. What must I do to use these three subitems correctly?

Oxide F2 provides experimental information based on partially compiling the code. It requires the new Oxygen.dll.

To use, the cursor must be placed on a keyword/name to get context sensitive information. You can also lookup keywords by keying in a substring on the top right line box followed by Enter.

Well, my company is trying to migrate from PowerBasic 32bits to another language in 64bits
and we chance upon this forum.  We would like to know more about OxygenBasic

Hi Karen,

Again, a warm welcome to our forum.

OxygenBasic is not quite beta yet. If we can get all the demos to work as 64bit binaries then I think we have earned beta status.

It has a small core of the fundamentals, and, unlike PB, it does not attempt to overlay the Windows API with its own systems. There are around 300 Basic keywords plus built-in assembler. You will be familiar with most of the keywords from PB.

I would recommend using OxygenBasicProgress.zip (5Mb) since this version is frequently updated. Oxygen.dll is also available, on its own in OxygenProgress.zip (140kb)
